Mr. Aqdas has 30 years of diversified experience in financial services sector and has worked with established brand names in different markets. He has extensive experience of working at senior levels as a CEO & Country Manager, Head of Business and Chief Risk Officer for one of Pakistan’s largest bank’s overseas subsidiary.
He is the current CEO of Spire Technologies a Bahrain based Open Banking fintech and a subsidiary of AION Digital a leading digital banking solution provider in GCC. Prior to which he was the Business Head for HBL, UK. A career banker, he started his career with Atlas (Bank of Tokyo) BOT Lease Company Limited. Mr. Aqdas has served in various roles in Banks both in Pakistan and abroad such as MCB Bank, Pakistan; American Express Bank, Pakistan; HBL Lebanon, Bahrain and UK.
He held the membership of the Editorial Advisory Board of “The Bahraini Banker” magazine, published by the Bahrain Association of Banks. He holds a Master of Commerce in Finance from the University of Punjab, Lahore as well as having done his basic education from Aitchison College, Lahore – one of the most prestigious education institutes of Pakistan.
