Dr. Tariq Mahmood is an FCPS doctor currently working as Head of Department of Radiology, Cyberknife Robotic Radiosurgery & Oncology at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, Karachi, Pakistan. He has published number of research papers in various national, international journals and newspapers. He is a member of various editorial boards of medical Journals; and member of various technical committees on Health in different capacities. Dr. Tariq has trained hundreds of undergraduates, post graduate doctors and technician at JPMC since 1992. Currently Serving as head of radiology since 1996.
In 2012, arranged Cyberknife Robotic Radiosurgery for curative treatment of tumors, which is offering free Cyberknife facility irrespective of the nationality, religion, ethnicity etc., for which patients are coming from all over Pakistan and neighboring countries (worldwide charge 50,000 to 90,000 USD per patient.).
Dr. Tariq is an Executive Member of Patients Aid foundation (PAF) and Radiology Aid foundation, JPMC Karachi. He is also serving as Member, Faculty of Radiology at CPSP, Karachi, Central Procurement Committee, (Health) Sindh, Selection Board Institute of Psychology University of Karachi, Institute Review Board committee JPMC and JSMU Karachi, Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA), Islamabad, Hospital Management Board Memon and Medical Institute Karachi. Moreover, he works as Visiting Consultant Radiologist at the Karachi Adventist (7TH DAY) Hospital Karachi.
